Chilworth is a village in Hampshire, very close to the city of Southampton with good travel connections and restricted development have led to the village becoming particularly affluent. The village was referred to as Celeworda in the Domesday book, and is now in two parts: Modern Chilworth lying along the straight 'new' stretch of the Southampton to Romsey road, and old Chilworth built around the 'old' road. The quiet area of Chilworth is situated to the north-west of Southampton and approximately a 17 minute drive from the cathedral city of Winchester. There are excellent travel connections with easy access to the M27 and M3, and the village is within five minutes’ drive of Southampton Airport Parkway station which puts the capital little more than an hour away. Adjacent to the station is Southampton Airport.
