Travelled to the UK from The Netherlands to retire on the River Thames after being a working boat for many of her years.

You will be helping to continue the extensive works on The Dutchess with your visit …. Thank you for helping to complete the renovation of this beautiful 1909 Dutch Barge. The upkeep of such a lovely old lady takes time and finances. By spending time with The Dutchess you are helping with her maintenance to keep her beautiful for many years to come.

The Dutchess is a home… not your regular rental property. You will find some personal effects, foodstuffs, drinks etc on-board. Please be respectful and treat all property with care and consideration for the owner.

The Dutchess is in the process of being renovated.
You will discover she is being thoughtfully refurbished however, not yet completely finished. Some finishing touches are required, we trust any such abnormalities will not deter from your enjoyment during your stay.

Safety: At all times stay within the vessel - any access to deck or walkways (gunwales) is at your own risk. The river runs fast below the surface, do not fall in.
