The Area

  • Ashley is located along a fairly quiet country road in the rural village of Aslacton in South Norfolk.
  • Nearby towns are Long Stratton (approx. 4.5 miles/11 minutes) and Diss (8 miles/17 minutes). Diss has excellent rail connections to London.

The Property.

Ashley is a detached 3 bedroom bungalow with an attached brick garage. It has good sized enclosed gardens to front and rear, mostly down to lawn, with a large garden shed/workshop, a small greenhouse, and a log store. (Because of the size of the property and the limited amount of available accomodation in the area we would prefer not to rent it to a single person.)
The Kitchen has recently been partially refurbished, with new worktops and sink. There is space for a small dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, fridge, and freezer. A safety glass door leads into the Lounge/Diner featuring a log burner, which was well used and appreciated by previous tenants.
There are two Double Bedrooms, the larger of which has a fitted wardrobe with mirrored doors, and a smaller Single Bedroom.
The Bathroom has an over bath shower, radiator, and fan heater and the Toilet is separate. Heating is oil fired by an efficient condensing, external combi-boiler supplying radiator. Hot water reaches the kitchen taps in 6 seconds! As there is no hot water tank, filling a bath takes a while.
There is Parking off road for up to 3 cars, but we would ask tenants to refrain from parking on the road for more than a few hours at a time, so as to be considerate to others..
The property is available for rent from 30th November 2025 subject to the usual checks.
Tenants claiming tax credits etc. Will be considered, provided they are able to show their ability to pay the rent comfortably. (This will be easier if a guarantor is available)
