Viewings & Applications

Referencing & Affordability

Holding Deposit
Once an application has been accepted by the landlord, a holding deposit equivalent to one week's rent will be required to reserve the property. The holding deposit will be dealt with in accordance with the Tenant Fees Act 2019 and, where applicable, will be deducted from the first month's rent or tenancy deposit. The holding deposit may be retained in certain circumstances permitted under the Tenant Fees Act 2019, including where an applicant provides false or misleading information, fails a Right to Rent check, withdraws from the application, or fails to take reasonable steps to enter into the tenancy within the agreed timescale.
