Description

Have you dreamt about a wonderful, modern, waterfront property where you could look out onto the sea in all seasons, watch for dolphins and see seals on a daily basis? Here we have an incredibly rare opportunity to buy a building/land with the potential to create your own, truly fantastic waterfront property, subject to the appropriate planning consents being obtained.

Situated right on the harbour this building, forms the left side of what is likely an old net shed. In need of demolition, the resultant plot would provide a blank slate for a creative design. There is a wide paved area to the front, where the neighbours sit out on sunny days, or perhaps enjoy a glass of wine as the sun sets. At the ground-floor level this property would look out onto fishing boats, literally metres away. At higher elevations, the views would be out over the harbour walls to the sea and the stunning 7 miles of expansive white beaches running from Burghead to Findhorn. (Several of the photos shown here have been taken from the upper floor of a neighbouring property to let you see the potential views)

Burghead harbour is a working fishing harbour. With a high sea wall, this double harbour is protected from the elements. The harbour currently has several buildings that have been tastefully renovated to waterfront residential properties.

Burghead itself is truly a hidden gem of a town. Sitting at the end of a 7 mile expanse of golden sands that run from Findhorn, past Roseisle to Burghead, the village offers lovely eating opportunities, shops, churches and a primary school. Property prices in Burghead are lower than some other waterfront villages in the near vicinity although it is likely that they may follow suit in the forseeable future. Burghead is still a thriving small town with an active community who make the effort to keep the town looking beautiful.
