The rich tones of the hallway's engineered wood floor flow into a double aspect kitchen/dining room, offering a classic contrast to the crisp clean lines of its sleek white design. Creating a wonderfully fluid space to spend time together as a family, the outstanding kitchen is well-appointed with a wealth of handle-less cabinets, pale granite countertops and a first-class array of integrated appliances. A central island with a downdraft extractor, induction hob and breakfast bar delineates the open plan layout that easily accommodates both a dining and desk/study area, and wide sliding doors make it easy to enjoy al fresco meals. A separate utility room has space for laundry appliances.

From the kitchen through the rear hallway, double doors open onto a spacious triple aspect drawing room that produces a refined space in which to relax and entertain. A distinguished log burner and subtly textured chimney breast add sophisticated focal points. Two sets of arched sliding doors open onto the magnificently sized south-facing terrace effortlessly extending this sociable space still further, while a soft colour scheme lends a tranquil feel.

Flowing from the central hallway to front right side of the property is an additional family room that is a peaceful retreat and includes a stunning 7-foot marine fish tank* Further on the ground floor are two offices, both with fitted office furniture. A stylish cloakroom completes the commodious ground floor of this fabulous home.

The carved wood banisters of the central staircase lead the way to the first floor where the truly enviable proportions of the master bedroom suite supply a wonderful wow factor. Cleverly designed feature recessed illuminated shelves and a stunning array of well-chosen wardrobes combined with the additional convenience of a dressing room provide an excellent amount of storage. The outstanding en suite bathroom generates a luxurious feel with its double length walk-in rainfall shower, contemporary wall-hung suite and decadent bathtub with mood lighting.

Four further bedrooms have views of the surrounding greenery. One benefits from a large walk-in wardrobe and they each provide an ideal amount of family and guest accommodation. Two family shower rooms add plenty of convenience for today's busy households.
The second floor of Mayfield has been updated and reconfigured to include a sizable gym and substantial additional storage.

The large raised lawns and sweeping granite driveway at the front of the property provide a notable indication of the amount of private space this prestigious home has to offer. The impressive driveway gives an immense amount of off-road parking, while the detached double garage is currently a discreet man cave/games room, with snooker table, fruit machines, sofa and bar area, and more storage space.

Behind the games room, is the private ½ acre of woodland. This large space has been developed with natural pathways that lead back into the main residence and to a gate into the woodlands surrounding Ottershaw Park.

The established lawns, statuesque hedging and trees wrap-around the side of the house to a breath-taking south-facing rear garden that stretches down to a landscaped area with a paved pergola and large timber workshop.

Ottershaw Park is a highly regarded Private Gated Estate with 26 buildings (79 residences) in 100+ acres of private land. Residents have key access to 2 large outdoor tennis courts within the park. The manged woodland provides a haven for wildlife and maintains several pleasant pathways through the woods for residents to enjoy. A short 10-15 minute walk through the woods is the charming traditional Ottershaw pub, The Castle. Ottershaw Village is on the doorstop offering everyday shops, a Village Hall (offering a full list of clubs and societies) and Christ Church, all within walking distance.

The history of Ottershaw Park begins in April 1761 when Thomas Sewell a barrister of Lincoln Inn Fields bought Ottershaw Farm from Reverend Thomas Woodford, cleared it away and built the first Ottershaw Park mansion. Over the years it has been used in several guises, notably a hospital during WW1 and a college after WW2. In 1945 Ottershaw School was founded.
