Description
Abinger is a rarely available property in Hemley, set within the Suffolk Coast & Heaths aonb and surrounded by 2.5 acres of acres of established gardens and benefits from views of the River Deben across to Ramsholt Arms and farmland to Hemley church.

Built in 1935, the house was extended in 1997 with a loft conversion, creating generous and versatile accommodation. Internally, the rooms are light filled and well proportioned, with extended ceiling heights on the ground floor and beautiful original flooring throughout. The accommodation flows well and includes a bespoke kitchen with dovetail cabinetry and maple cupboards and worktops. There is a double aspect dining room with south facing views over the gardens and a door to the outside. The ground floor also offers a sitting room, three bedrooms and a shower room. Upstairs, the principal bedroom features a walk in wardrobe and a Juliet balcony that fills the room with natural light and provides stunning views over the garden and towards the river. This floor also includes a further bedroom and a family bathroom.

The grounds wrap around the property and are rich with wildlife, with sunrises over the river and sunsets behind Ranglins Wood creating a wonderfully peaceful setting.

Within the grounds is a large outbuilding previously used for car restoration, storage of a cattle trailer, hay and equipment, and incorporating a vehicle inspection pit. There are also two stables, one of which converts into a shelter with a hinged front section. A 20m x 40m sand ménage, now grassed over, sits nearby. Water and electricity are supplied to both the outbuilding and the stables.

At the property there is also a garage and ample parking for numerous cars.

The property has also supported a true lifestyle of creativity and enterprise, having been home to three successful businesses: Alpaca farming, cabinetmaking, and a watercolour art studio with online print sales.
