Long gone are the days when home extensions looked like awkward bolt-ons to the main house. These five homes with extensions on Zoopla, reveal how.
A recent report from UK Finance which revealed that more people are taking extra borrowing against their properties when re-mortgaging, has suggested the money could be to fund major home improvements – such as an extension.
Building an extension, after all, is also more straightforward than ever.
Under Permitted Development rights which the Government made permanent in May 2019, homeowners can build a single-storey extension rear extension of up to eight metres on a detached house and up to six metres on semi-detached and terraces without applying for planning permission – other criteria permitting.
Tempted? These five homes, currently for sale on Zoopla, should provide inspiration.
